We want to thank the Seattle Weekly’s Voracious Blog for publishing an article on beer tweeters in the area (Seattle). We especially want to thank them for recognizing us (The One and Only Fantastic Beer Blotter) in the #1 spot. They know whats good.
Ok ok, we know it was in no particular order. But, it was great to be recognized. Perhaps even we would not select ourselves as #1. There is an amazing beer community of writers milling about in the Seattle dungeons of Twitter.
Twitter has become a great way for beer fanatics to take up a conversation throughout the day. From our computers we can chat about new releases, this evening’s parties and the quick death of annoying fads (I’m looking at you, UnTappd). Never before have we been able to communicate so extensively, so often and so freely!
So, take the Seattle Weekly list to heart. They did an amazing job picking up some of the news breakers on Twitter. These are some great people who can tell you has what beer, where the good stuff will be tonight and what to expect at upcoming festivals. This is beer news on the go – as it happens!
Don’t forget a few other great local beer follows: @socialretard (dont hate the name), @halfquart, @seattlebeerlist, @seattletap and @fruittrees.
Also do not forget that the best way to know whats on tap at your local pub or brewery – is to check Twitter for these guys: @odinbrewing, @fremontbrewing, @schoonerexact, @ironhorsebeer, @CoopersAlehouse, @CollinsPub, @BrouwersCafe, @UberTavern, @NakedCityBeer, @TwoBeersBrewing, @99BottlesBeer, @Bottleworks, and trillions more!
Finally, the great state of Washington’s beer authority is the Washington Beer Commission – follow them at @WashingtonBeer. They have the best name of all.
